growers plot offered in New Cross Gate

Please note don't be put off with the info. Listed below as a lot of the work for the tenants area for seeding the lawn has been done but there is still some work to be done.

Thank you for showing interest in this project, the outline requirements for being offered a plot to grow fruit and vegetables in the garden.

1.The property were you are being offered an allotment space to grow stuff is private. gaining access to the garden plot for growing and weeding the tenant’s area, will be through a side door giving you direct access to the garden,

2.The allotment plot on offer has been used by a number of gardeners before but requires a little attention to prepare it for future growing

3.Basic tools will be provided but you are welcome to bring some tools of your own to use please be aware other gardeners may use them if left on site.

1. Water will be provided which I will pay for, but will be discussed in more detail if you accept a gardening plot that’s offered to you.

2. Initial weeding and leveling the tenants garden area I will supply rubbish bags for the weeds and once full if they can be positioned at the front of the house and I will remove the rubbish.

6.Apart from tenant’s garden area removing of weeds and clearing of leaves at the side, front and back of the house is required very time you visit the garden. during the period when the leaves fall a roster will be set up and 2 days out of the week will be allocated to you to attend the garden to clear the leaves only around the house.

7.When the lawn area is level, 2 weeks’ notice will be given to all growers so during that time we can arrange a plan of action to prepare the lawn for seeding. (please note that during this time which is likely to be sometime in august/September a lot more time and effort for a few weeks while the seed takes will be required from all growers, so if you are unable to commit the time required its best you allow the growing plot to go to someone else who is more flexible with their time).

8.Once the lawn has taken then other tools and a lawn mower will be provide to maintain the lawn and keep it tidy.

9.Access to the site is via a locked side door, keys will be given out at no charge and is the responsibility of the grower but if lost they will be charge to replace the lock and supply new keys to the owner and other growers.

10.No payment is being ask from any grower because what I am asking in return is payment enough.

am sorry that it may seem a little detailed I just want to make sure any potential growers who are interested are aware of what is being asked of them and are happy to perform the tasks in return for growing stuff on their plot.
