Small back garden

Small back garden I wanted to turn it in to a playbspace/ veg plot but I just don't have the time to grow veg. I do have chickens who are let out occasionally. Hoping to be able to use veg from the person and they in turn cpuld have eggs. I don't have any tools atm I will be getting a garden hose tap in the very near future which said person can use, in the summer months the back garden gets sun pretty much all day
