We teach essential sustainability skills to residents of Blackpool to repair, reuse or repurpose clothing, fabric or items to increase community well-being and social capital through recycling and growing your own food in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.We support residents to reach their potential to challenge low income, confidence, lack of opportunity, and poor mental health often associated with Blackpool. to then use that skill to live more sustainably, passing onto friends and family to continue the cycle, ensuring community confidence.
Our growing space began in the hotel car park with 'Grow Your Own' project and our volunteers brought gardening knowledge and we grew veg, fruit, flowers and herbs in the space. We continue to grow and adding new growing areas to the space.
